Tony and June Burns have been creating and sharing their unique scroll saw art puzzles since 1984. Their work is inspired by their love of the natural world.
All work is original, copyrighted and created entirely by the artists. Each puzzle is individually cut by hand on a scroll saw, sanded, stained and painted; this makes each puzzle a unique work of art. This year 34 new designs were added, bringing new life into the artists’ collection.
Now, thirty one years later, they are even busier. They have four children who inspire them daily with their ideas and interests. They enjoy exhibiting their work at shows in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
In addition is their love for foot-powered machinery that they have collected over the years. They enjoy bringing one of their treadle machines to shows to demonstrate and share a bit of history and their passion of scrolling with others.
Wanting to spread their joy of scrolling to other fellow woodworkers they have authored three books in the past: Scroll Saw Art Puzzles, Scroll Saw Farm Puzzles and Scroll Saw Holiday Puzzles.
New this year, a brand new book in print, Big Book of Scroll Saw Puzzles, which features more than 75 shop-tested and ready-to-cut patterns.
